02 Jul Tri-West Sales Is Hiring: Junior Sales & Service Field Rep for the BC Lower Mainland

Job Opportunity
A ground-floor opportunity with a BSIA member company — flexible part-time hours to start, uncapped commission potential, and a path to full-time in 2027.
BSIA member Tri-West Sales is looking to add a Junior Sales and Service Field Rep to its team — and it could be a great fit for someone in your network who’s ready to build a career in the building supply industry.
Based out of Surrey and covering the BC Lower Mainland, the successful candidate will provide sales and service support to Tri-West’s dealer and distributor partners: managing in-store shelf programs, assisting with merchandising for new store set-ups and renovations, keeping dealer e-commerce listings current, and building relationships with customers across the territory. Trade shows and industry events, both in and out of BC, may also be part of the role.
What makes this role stand out
- Flexible schedule. This isn’t a typical 9-to-5. The position starts at 2–3 days per week (20–30 hours) for the first 90 days, with more hours added as dealer demand grows.
- Room to grow. The role is part-time to start, with the potential to become a full-time position in 2027 for the right candidate.
- Earning potential. Starting wage is $20–$25 per hour depending on experience, with a wage increase after 90 days and eligibility for uncapped bonus commission after 6 months — plus additional incentives throughout the year.
Who they’re looking for
Tri-West is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated candidate who can plan their own schedule and manage a varied customer list. Sales or retail experience is a must — ideally in hardware or industrial markets — along with strong communication skills and comfort with commonly used tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Canva. CRM experience, post-secondary coursework in sales or marketing, and an understanding of how AI and social media can support the business are all assets, but not required.
Candidates must have their own vehicle to travel the territory, plus a computer and mobile phone for the role. Some events require after-hours participation, and weekend commitments are rare.
