The Building Supply Industry Associations Annual Orion Awards recognize the best retailers in the building supply industry. All member stores are evaluated by an independent mystery shopper. These mystery shopper evaluations form the basis for ranking the stores. Each year the top 15 stores in 5 different categories are recognized.

2010 marked the eighth year for the Orion Store of the Year Awards. The Orion Award is a prestigious award that is proudly displayed by current and past recipients as a means of indicating their commitment at being the best in their industry.
The recognized companies that have reached this level should be congratulated for their commitment to excellence. They have worked hard at being what their customer wants. Their staff have worked hard at making their store a friendly environment, a pleasant place to shop, a store where customers feel valued when they leave the store. They should celebrate their accomplishments.
